Finally, We're Home!

The latter part of May and the whole month of June were very toxic yet ecstatic  days for me.  Toxic because that was the time when the "moving out" of our old home and the "moving in" to our new one interfaced.  We spent the most part of May transferring our stuff almost everyday to the new house and cleaning it up... And on June, we had to prepare the house as we see it fit for our preferences as we prepared ourselves to live and make it as our home. The blessing was done, and  tada! Toxic period is over.

And I was very ecstatic at the same time, I guess not just me but all of us.  We found a house we'd really love to make our home and in time for the baby to arrive. I was really depressed with our previous apartment because of the narrow living-kitchen-dining room. Plus the rat and cockroach infestation, it's as if we're living in a shack.  But God really provides.  Just when I started to lose hope of finding a better place to live and raise a family, a good and kind lady who owns a very nice and big townhouse nearby agreed for us to lease one of her units at the same rate we're paying for the "shack-ing" previous apartment. Whew! Dig this!

PREVIOUS APARTMENT             NEW TOWNHOUSE

-3 bedrooms                                      4 bedrooms w/maids quarter
-2 toilet and bath                                4 toilet and bath
-1 living-kitchen-dining room               1 living room and dining
                                                        1 kitchen and laundry area
                                                        1 upstairs family room
-no car garage/
only common parking slot                    1 own garage
1  wide terrace (in the master's)
-rat/cockroach-infested                       very wide and clean surroundings
-jalousies for windows                         glass-paneled sliding windows
-no storage room                                  storage room below the stairs
-*bad neighbors who drive their cars
inside the compound as if it's a freeway
(wished i could put up humps every 2 feet and toll gates so they'd slow down!)

I can list a lot more comparison points but  I believe I already made an impression that I just don't like but love our new house.  This is where I want to raise my family and let my kids, Jee and Julianne (and maybe more, wink, wink!), run freely in our front yard or the whole townhouse compound and worry not of  rats or cockroaches which might bite them or that they'd be run over by bad drivers ( please refer to item with asterisk * ).  Now, I guess, we're finally HOME!
